West Coast Swing Beginner-Silver Level Tutorials on Youtube!

The original American dance! "Swing" is an umbrella term that refers to a number of evolving dances that originated from Lindy Hop in the 20s. Jive, Jitterbug, Collegiate Shag, Lindy Balboa, Hustle, East Coast Swing, West Coast Swing, Blues Dancing, and Nightclub 2-Step all share the same classic Swing backbeat ("boom-tick-boom-tick") and many of the same patterns, even though they are danced to very different tempos and eras of music! Many Swing dancers find they end up learning multiple styles so that they can dance to any kind of popular upbeat music.

We teach group classes in Nightclub 2-Step, and West Coast Swing on Mondays and Wednesdays. In general, Nightclub 2-Step and West Coast Swing are smooth, sexy, and danced to more modern downtempo club, R&B, and  music.

We also teach East Coast Swing & Lindy Hop in private lessons. These are much more upbeat fast compared to Nightclub & West Coast Swing.
